A Denver man has been sentenced to 24 years in prison for stealing $10 million from investors, according to the Denver Post. The man was convicted of violations of organized crime, securities fraud, theft, and conspiracy statutes. The Colorado Division of Securities and prosecutors charged that the man and his partner took investment money from clients and used it to pay previous business debts rather than investing it as they were expected to do. His partner pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 8 years in prison. In addition to the 24 years in prison, there will also be $4 million in restitution.
