According to 9news a CU freshman was set to the intensive care unit at Boulder Community Hospital after a drunk driver steered her car directly into his table as he was eating lunch. After getting lunch at Cheese Louise Lunch Truck on campus the student was hit by a 73-year-old woman.  The driver hit the CU freshman, then the Lunch Truck, and finally stopped outside a church. The woman's intended stop was the church, where she was attending an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. The owner of the lunch truck said that he was grateful when his truck was hit it did not fall over onto his line of customers, but devastated one of his customers was hit. The driver of the car is being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. The victim in the crash suffered a collapsed lung and a few broken ribs but expected to make a full recovery.
