The Denver Post reports that based on a study by the Violence Policy Center in Washington DC, Colorado is one of only ten states where more people are killed by guns than in car crashes. The study shows that in 2009, the most recent year for which data is available, nationwide there were slightly more deaths in car accidents than by guns, but here in Colorado, as well as nine other states, that is reversed. What some people may find disturbing about this is that car ownership is far more prevalent than gun ownership.
