A man charged with robbing a local bank was denied in an attempt to have his bail lowered, according to the Boulder Daily Camera. The man had been charged with robbing First National Bank on Iris Ave. in Boulder, and is being held on $100,000 bond. At his first court appearance, his attorney, a public defender, asked to lower his bond. The request was denied. His attorney argued that, as a native Coloradan who has lived in Boulder County for many years, he was not a flight risk, but the judge was not moved to alter his bail, possibly because he was out of jail on bail from another charge at the time of the robbery.
